Why night owls could suffer with their mental health

If you pride yourself on working all night and sleeping all day, you could be putting your mental health at risk, a recent study by Nature Communications revealed.

Not only is being a night owl disruptive when you have to get up early in the morning, typically for work, but it is detrimental to mental well being.

The research revealed that naturally early risers were less at risk of developing mental health problems than those who stayed up into the wee small hours.

The results showed an apparent causal link between being a night owl and being more prone to depression, anxiety and schizophrenia.
