3 top tips to improve your CV

If 2019 is the year you get your dream job, you’ll have to start applying for it. And for that you’ll need a competitive CV.

  1. Make it easy to read. Include clear formatting, short paragraphs and key statistics that are separated from the rest of the text and bulleted.
  2. Trim off the excess. Employers want to read what is relevant to them, so only include the juicy bits that make you interesting enough to warrant calling in for an interview.
  3. Include keywords. Figure out what keywords for this job are and liberally apply them throughout your CV. Chances are software will sift the first round of CVs so make sure yours makes the cut.
