Organisers have been quick to dispel rumours that Februhairy is the female version of Movember – although it’s baffling why they would, they’re essentially asking women to stop removing body hair in the name of a good cause.
This new campaign is a national drive to raise money and awareness to fight violence against women. Februhairy is encouraging women to ditch the razors and go au naturale during the month of February.
Get Hairy February is a peer to peer initiative to raise money and support for people affected by gendered violence, whilst simultaneously questioning the stereotype of a hair free woman.
