Yoga or pilates?
You know you should stretch, you know that some exercise is better than none, but what is the difference between yoga and pilates?
The purpose of yoga is to connect your mind, body and spirit. Yoga is considered a therapeutic activity, capable of aiding both mental health and physical health. It gives your body flexibility, encourages relaxation and helps reduce stress.
Pilates is about the core. The philosophy is thus: if your core is strong and flexible so it will follow that the rest of your body will be too.
No one can tell you which is better for your body, so try both.
Essentially they will both strengthen your muscles, get you in shape and relieve stress.
