Beauty trends that are here to stay!

From the runways to Instagram, there’s always a buzz about new beauty trends. Makeup looks are forever evolving and there’s always something new to try. Don’t forget our old favourites though, these looks are here to stay (Well, for the mean time!) and the new twists that are hot for this Summer.

Winged Eyeliner

Nearly every influencer on Instagram has perfected the winged eyeliner and wears the look with pride (…and who wouldn’t? It can take a lifetime to master!) The most common shades to sport are black and grey flicks but this Summer, the cat eye is stepping it up a notch! Models spotted on the runway, for Oscar de la Renta, all wore pastel shades in colours such as lavenders, baby-blues and pretty pinks. This is a fun take on the classic black winged eyeliner. If you’re not feeling brave enough to go completely pastel, why not add a thin line of pastel above your classic black liner to look great this season.

Grunge Shadow

We all love a bit of glitter eyeshadow for evenings out and parties, there’s really no better way to add a bit of sparkle to your eyes! Armani models were seen wearing the classic glitter shadows, in shades such as greens and browns, but instead of wearing the colour on their eyelids, the colour was used under the lower lash line to accentuate the under eye area. This look will add another dimension to your makeup, creating a smudgy and smoky look that is wearable and fun!

Bold Lips

A favourite on the runway shows this year was a bold red lip. Simple. Understated. CLASSIC. This look is a firm favourite that has been around since… well, forever! But how about if we told you that the models sported a red lip with NO OTHER MAKEUP? If you want to try out this new twist on the classic red lip, make sure to keep all other makeup simple and dewy – and if you’re feeling really brave, apply a great moisturiser and apply only the lipstick straight from the bullet!
