Your mindset is key to your mental health

Toxic masculinity is detrimental to good mental health, says the American Psychological Association. And they aren’t just talking about it being harmful for women, it has been proven to hurt men too.

In order to start combatting what has previously been considered the norm, views on what constitutes masculinity have to change.

What constitutes masculine is just as fluid as what constitutes feminine. There is no benchmark, there is no normal.

The solution? A good place to start is to understand that men are complex too and that there’s so much more to being male than just strength, risk-taking and winning.
