Just because it’s a rental, doesn’t mean you can’t make a rented house your home.
- Swap out the hardware for items that are more inline with your taste (just don’t chuck the landlord’s stuff). Things like door knobs and switchplates. You can pick up cheap, more to your style ones via Amazon or Etsy.
- Ditto, change the light fittings. You don’t have to have that horrific lampshade, you could go retro with a paper one instead.
- Plaster the walls with removable wallpaper or wall stickers.
- If you aren’t allowed to hang your art using nails, purchase adhesive picture hooks instead.
