1. Box clever. You can’t beat the simplicity of a big cardboard box. Turn them into cars, trains, dens or just enjoy hiding in them.

2. Drum up fun in the kitchen with saucepans and a wooden spoon. Lots of noise, limited mess, and lots of smiles.

3. Stepping stones. Spark their imagination by laying cut out pieces of cardboard in a random path across the room. Pretend the carpet is an ocean full of sharks and that your toddler has to cross the room without falling in. Mix it up when they get bored by hopping or jumping.
