Can coffee help you to sleep better?

While it seems common ‘fact’ that you simply should never drink coffee in the evening if you want to get to sleep, new research suggests that the effect of coffee on your sleep schedule may purely be dependent on whether you’re an early riser or not. A study reported in Scientific American and tested on Stanford University college students, saw that ‘morning people’ who drank coffee throughout the day were more likely to wake up in the middle sleep than their late rival counterparts.

So what should you do if you want to brew up? Try to cut your coffee consumption before 2pm, or for those easily affected by stimulants, finish your intake just after lunch to avoid a restless night’s sleep.
