Things To Do This Weekend In London

With a weekend full of sunshine reportedly on the way it’s time to get out and about and we’re here to help, with some of the most interesting things to do this weekend.

We All Scream For Ice-Cream (Or Gelato)

When the weather hots up it’s time to cool down, and what better way to do this than by visiting a gelato festival! Taking place near Kings Cross, this festival sees 16 of the world’s best gelato makers coming together to make some seriously tasty treats that everyone will love. Check out more details here.

Book It Over To The Festival

If you want to escape the heat and hear amazing stories from great authors, writers, journalist’s and poets, then the book festival at Queen’s Park is the place for you. Some big names include Sadie Jones, Simon Mayo and Sam Leith and tickets range between #18-#34 and it’s highly recommended that you book ahead. You can do so here.

Taste Of (Agri)Culture

If you’re looking for something completely different then checking out the Agriculture Show is worth a try. There’s a wide range of fun things to do here including baking competitions, craft demonstrations, livestock shows and even a shetland pony photo booth so adults and kids alike will enjoy what’s on offer. Mudchute City Farm has free entry as well so it’s also a good day out if you’re on a budget.

Going Back In Time

It’s easy to sometimes forget about great things to do in your own back garden, and Tower Bridge is definitely one of them. This weekend it’s celebrating its 125th birthday and offering entry tickets for just £1.25 compared to the standard £8.80-£9.90 which is a great saving. The only downside is you can’t book in advance, so if you’re interested it’s best to get there early to make sure you get in.
